In May we entered the Southern England Under 18s Goju-Ryu Championships.
A team of 24 junior students entered and scooped an amazing 22 medals and trophies.
This included five 1st places.
In the team events every team from Hedge End won 1st 2nd or 3rd place.
In October the club had 20 students invited to take part in the National championships. Again they did extremely well scooping 12 trophies. We now have 3 junior national champions at the club.
In November 2 junior members achieved there junior black belts.
This is a great achievement as it has taken them 5 years of training to reach this goal. The exam itself was an incredible 5 hours long.
The karate club meets at the Hedge End village hall Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and at Freegrounds school Tuedays and Wednesdays. For details go to www.hsgk.org.uk.
