go see the bookshop over the post office. he has written books about the village. very interesting reading.

"I,ve only just found this site,I've lived in Hedge End of and on since late 1950's,first as a 6yr.old in 1957-59,how different to now,it was only very small village then,I moved back to Boorley Green with my parents in 1968 and moved back to Hedge End,in 1972 untill moving to Botley in '74 moved To Eastleigh in '78 and back to good old Hedge End in '83 and have lived here apart from short time in Bishopstoke eversince,I do love this area,but wish it had'nt been spoilt with all the retail parks and industrial units! I still prefer to call it a village as it always was! It's lovely to look at the historic pictures of Botley,I do remember a little of that time in the area! Has anyone got any historic pics.of Hedge End also to upload to site? It would be lovely to see them! suziejacks60
