Region's Newest Hotel Leads The Way In Bar Entertainment

Hampshire’s newest four-star hotel is leading the way in bar entertainment by being one of the first venues in the UK to install brand new, state-of-the-art bar fonts.

Installed at the ‘new generation’ Holiday Inn in Winchester these revolutionary fonts are unlike anything seen before. Fitted as part of the hotel’s £16.5 million construction they include built in TV screens and means customers can continue to watch the ‘big match’ while ordering at the bar.

Siobhan Thomasson, general manager at the Holiday Inn said: “The fonts have already been a great success and we have had some excellent feedback from our customers.

“With the World Cup just around the corner we know how important it is for many of our customers to be able to see the games at all times and will ensure no one misses that vital goal while ordering.”

The new fonts even made an impression on Andrew Cosslett, chief executive of Intercontinental Hotels Group who, when visiting the new hotel, commented on how the Holiday Inn consistently looks for the very latest innovations to maintain its position as the leading hotel brand.

Siobhan added: “The Hotel is the UK’s first ‘new generation’ Holiday Inn and we wanted to do things a bit different to ensure our customers get that extra bit of luxury when they come to visit us – we just hope they don’t get too distracted and forget to order!”

The bar serves food and drinks all day and can be enjoyed by guests at the hotel or just by people wanting to enjoy a drink in Hampshire’s newest establishment.
