Hedge End Year 6 pupils – have you got the Secondary School of your choice for September 2010?
By Caroline_W | Monday, March 01, 2010, 16:30
Today, Monday 1 March, is ‘offer day’ when more than half a million pupils in England will be finding out which secondary school they’ll be going to September 2010. In Hampshire offer letters were posted 1st class this morning, Monday 1 March.
Although Hampshire County Council advises waiting up to four working days for the arrival of a letter before contacting the Schools Admissions department if it doesn’t come, the letters could start arriving tomorrow, Tuesday 2 March.
Last year in England 83% of pupils were offered a place at one of their top three schools, and 96% at one of their choices.
So if you have the secondary school of your choice, let Hedgeendpeople know – and if you haven’t let us know that too.
And, with many councils sending offers via e-mail and even text messages, is the extra wait caused by Hampshire County Council sending offers through the post unnecessary and frustrating, particularly if you have to wait four days to hear?
