Hedge End’s Serving the Community Awards – Who Will You Nominate?

Hedge End Town Council is looking for nominations for two Serving The Community awards.

Hedge End Serving The Community Awards - Seeking Nominations

If you know of someone whose voluntary contribution has benefited the Community in Hedge End and you would like to recommend them for the annual Serving the Community Award, application forms can be obtained from the Town Council Offices at the 2000 Centre, St John’s Road, Hedge End, SO30 4AF.

Groups, organisations and individuals are encouraged to send in their nominations, which must be at the Town Council by MIDDAY, THURSDAY 31 DECEMBER 2009.

The second award is the newly instituted ‘Young Persons’ Serving the Community Award to be given to a young person (up to 25 years) who has provided a service to the community in Hedge End. Again, nominations are sought from all groups, organisations and individuals in Hedge End and you will find application forms at the Hedge End Town Council offices.

Closing date for nominations for the Young Person’s Serving the Community award is MIDDAY, SUNDAY 31 JANUARY 2010.

Well, yes, I agree. Up to a point.

I have no idea who I would nominate though. I guess the winner will come from a fairly closed circle, somebody delivering meals on wheels to little old ladies perhaps - rather than a grumpy old blogger trying to make Hedge End a better place and (hopefully) encouraging people to engage in local issues....!
