Chris Huhne has written to me and in his letter which arrived today it

states " ...I have been informed that there are no firm proposals to

allow parking on Greta Park and that the town council has asked for

further information before even having a debate on the idea. I have also

been assured that there would be a full consultation with residents

before any decision is taken. I hope that this is of help, but please do

keep me informed and if I can be of any further assistance on this or

any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. With best

wishes, Yours sincerely, Chris Huhne."

I think that everyone

should sign the petition, not as a political gesture but simply so that

everyone's views on this matter can be collected in one place and that

information held on record for futher potential use in the future, if

and when a "full discussion" occurs.

Furthermore I stongly

suggest to the Council that any planned "full discussion" should be

advertised by flyers through all residents doors, and not by simply

placeing a notice in the local paper/magazine, which because of the

everyday demands of modern life we the residents do not always get a

chance to read fully every time.
