By Caroline_W | Wednesday, March 24, 2010, 08:37
Police are appealing for witnesses after several sheds at the allotments in Upper Northam Drive in Hedge End were damaged during the evening of Saturday 20 March or in the early morning Sunday 21 March.
Damage was caused to at least ten sheds, with some sheds pushed over, and police are saying that this is the latest in a series of similar incidents at the site.
Officers from the Safer Neighbourhoods team in Hedge End would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may know who is responsible. They are also anxious to hear from owners of the damaged sheds to establish the full extent of the damage.
The police will be offering allotment holders crime prevention advice and free alarms to install at the sheds to help reduce the likelihood of further incidents.
If you have any information or are an allotment holder at the site in Upper Northam Drive contact Hedge End police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 – information can be given anonymously via the charity.

ReportBL**DY VANDALS!
My bet is that it's the Lib Dems. Keith House and his buddies flattend the allotments at South Street and are going to the same at Woodside road.
My guess is that hedge end allotments is next for a spot of Flat building.

ReportThe other day I went passed the police station and there were SIX police cars and a van parked up in the car park!
I've not seen a copper on foot around Hedge End for donkey's years!
The problem is, you don't se anything much from a car at 60 MPH!!!
