Grand Opening of Electronics Retailer Best Buy Superstore in Hedge End, Friday 28 May

Tomorrow, Friday 28 May, sees the opening of the Best Buy superstore at Hedge End Retail Park in Hedge End.

Doors open at 10.00am and to mark the event there will be deals throughout the store and competition prizes to welcome the queues of customers that are expected.

Best Buy is an American chain with the first UK store opening last month at Thurrock in Essex, and the opening of a Best Buy superstore in Hedge End has generated a great deal of interest locally, with numerous mentions in the press and stories on Hedgeendpeople dating back to last August – ‘Best Buy is coming to Southampton’, ‘Best Buy Store Opening Hedge End Spring 2010’ and ‘Hedge End’s Best Buy Store Will Open June 2010’ are a few of the articles posted.

The original Hedge End launch date was brought forward from June earlier this month to allow for the store to open in time for the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

This weekend Best Buy is promising a selection of deals on TVs, electric bikes, solar chargers, home theatre systems, games consoles, cameras, laptops, mobiles and iPods.

The store closes at 8.00pm tomorrow and Best Buy advises that opening times for the rest of the holiday weekend are: Saturday 29 May, 9.00am-8.00pm; Sunday 30 May, 10.00am-4.00pm; Bank Holiday Monday 31 May, 9.00am-6.00pm.
