Nine of these were for 1st place.
The children of the karate school all train incredibly hard and it shows when they enter tournaments. Some of the kids train 3 and 4 times a week at the village hall in Hedge End.
On June 12th and 13th two of the junior students travelled to Bournemouth to take their Black Belt exam.
This is an incredibly hard task even for an adult. Four hours of training and assesment on the Saturday followed by two hours training and then a 3 1/2 hour exam on the Sunday. Both students from Hedge End passed with flying colours. Congratulations to Bethany Norman and James Mulhall.
The Hedge End School of Goju-Ryu now has four junior black belts and three Senior black belts.
We welcome people of all ages and abilities to come and try karate.
