... How would you like to join us in working with a local artist and creating a sculpture to contribute to our on site sculpture trail ?
Our first artist will join us on October 16th and November 6th - we are looking for 20 - 25 people of all ages to help him make a sculpture from old drumkits and other recycled materials. The sculpture will appropriately comment on the performing arts status of the school and shall hopefully include old musical instruments, ballet barre materials and other performing arts goods! You are welcome to bring along any object or photographs that hold significance with you that you want to use as inspiration or even add in to the sculpture itself!
Our second artist will be joing us on December 4th and we will be working together on a sculpture of beads to create a chandelier style sculpture - it should be a great chance to not only work with a great local artist but to work with eachother and make something that can remain on our grounds for years to come!
The workshops will run from 10am until 3pm, you will be working outside and inside (weather permitting) and it will cost you the same as a regular Crafty Saturday! £7 for individuals and £5 for those that attend with a relative.
If you would like to help out it would be fantastic!
