We mustn't forget that the local elections are also taking place on May 6th.

I'm particularly interested to see what happens in Wildern ward. I understand that one of my near neighbours and work colleagues, Paul Redding (Conservative), is standing against Keith House (Lib Dem).

Most of us (unfortunately) find local politics even more dull and boring than a repeat of the weekly omnibus edition of Eastenders, but I've noticed that these elections become a lot more interesting when somebody you know well and trust is taking part...

But I don't really support either political party, so it is probably best/fairest if I otherwise let Paul/Keith run their own campaigns and leave the WIldern electorate to make your own minds up.

However, I'll certainly watch out for the Wildern result with a lot more interest than usual on May 7th...
