Anyone else fed up with hearing and seeing L plate moped/motorbikes going round and round hedge end at speed?.......!

Wish someone would sort them out! Cant get their number plates in time!

There is a Hedge End Town Council meeting on Wednesday (7:30 at 2000 Centre). Unless they are all busy apprehending miscreants we normally get a police report and chance to ask them questions.

If you'd like to email me (hedgeendblogger@gmail.com) with the details of when and where this is happening I'll bring it up for you. Although I expect they will say to report it to 101 when it happens. Even if they don't have spare bodies to respond immediately, the reports allow them to build up a pattern of when and where things are happening and deploy their personnel accordingly.

At the TC meeting it was reported that the police are already aware of the general problem in Hedge End. beccyc25 mentions that there has already been some activity - on 9th July eleven moped riders were stopped and two of them had their vehicles seized. More operations are planned.


I was able to give them the information that RDWL1 sent me and other councillors chipped in with some other favourite roads. Police reps were very interested and took the intelligence seriously.

When is someone going to do somehing about all these mobility scooters speeding on the pavement.
Twice now one has nearly got me coming out the post office.
