Twenty eight sheds on allotments in Hedge End’s Kanes Hill, Upper Northern Road, were vandalised with shed doors ripped off and smashed during the night of Thursday 19 August. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information about the incidents to come forward.

Hedge End’s PC Andrew Laverick said: “I would like to hear from anyone who has information about this incident. The allotments have become a very important part of the local community and those who occupy these allotments work extremely hard.

“I would also like to appeal for the allotment owners to contact the police so that we can record all of the damage caused and to remind them not to leave valuables in their sheds overnight.”

In March of this year ten sheds were damaged at the allotments in Upper Northam Road with police reporting the incident as the latest in a series of similar at the site – see Hedgeendpeople story, Allotment Sheds Vandalised In Hedge End.

Anyone with information about this latest incident is asked to contact PC Andrew Laverick at Hedge End police station on 101, or to call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
