bad parking

Everywhere you look there are cars parked somewhere, mainly illegally. Where I live there are always cars parked opposite each other and on each corner. An ambulance or fire engine would'nt stand a chance of reaching anyone in an emergency. You only get moaned and screeched at if you ask someone to move to allow you to continue driving. People also don't bother acknowledging you if you stop to let them pass. It seems to me no-one has any manners anymore and and likened to a load of pigs.

I see your point about modern housing estates, but mine is 35 years old. All the more reason not to park on these narrow roads. I seem also to have annoying neighbours - in more ways than one! But I expect they exist round every corner.

There's a lot of truth in that doreron, but the narrow width of roads in modern housing estates doesn't help matters. Better planing is needed to accomodate the car. The other issue is attitudes. My neighbours (n.b. not the new ones) have an annoying habit of inconveniencing their neighbours before they inconvenience themselves, expecting to park outside everybody elses house before they park in their own driveway. However, I was pleased to see Eastleigh Parking Services giving a ticket to a vehicle parked on a double yellow line at 1pm this afternoon. Pity it wasn't my ignorant neighbours car...!
